Ann Curry

Ann Curry was born in America and is a photographer and journalist. For more than forty-five years, she's focused her work on reporting the suffering of people, particularly in natural disasters and wars. Curry was a reporter for the wars within Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. Ann Curry was an American journalist, reporter for the TV news as well as host. She is most known as a correspondent for the Today program, a daily morning news program aired on NBC. Curry was well-known for her reporting of catastrophes caused by natural causes and humanitarian crises which occurred in war-ravaged areas. Curry was the child of a U.S. Navy sailor and a Japanese woman. In the aftermath of World War II, her parents met during her father's service in Japan. Family members were constantly on the move because of her dad's military service. The family eventually moved to Ashland Oregon where Curry attended the high school. The University of Oregon awarded her an undergraduate degree in journalism. As a child she was exposed various kinds of cultures. She went to schools located in San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia. Her final graduation was with honors from Ashland high school. Her first job would lead to a lucrative career as an intern at broadcasting station KTVL Channel 10 Medford. It was her first time as a female news reporter at the station at the age of 22. In Portland, Oregon she was named anchor as well as a reporter for KGW the NBC affiliate. In Los Angeles, she became a reporter on KCBS TV four years after moving into the city.
